Romeo and Juliet is a love story between two 16-year-olds. They are from enemy families in the city of Verona. They belong to the families of the Capuletos and the Montescos, which are the most powerful in the city but are facing each other. Juliet celebrates the party of her 16 years old and she meets Romeo. They fall in love at first sight. At that time they do not know that their families are totally opposite. They marry in secret the day after meeting in a show of complete romanticism and passion. They are joined by a priest in a religious ceremony. After the secret wedding they keep their lives separate. Mercutio, friend of Romeo, meets Tebaldo, Juliet's cousin who is furious about Romeo's presence at the masquerade party held at the Capulet house last night.Romeo refuses to fight with Tebaldo. Mercucio is outraged by this submission and draws the sword. Romeo tries to separate the contestants and at that moment Tebaldo kills Mercucio. Romeo fights, kills Tebaldo and runs away. The prince of Verona condemns Romeo to exile. The news causes Romeo and Juliet's despair. Romeo leaves towards Mantua.Juliet's father ignores that Juliet has married Romeo and arranges her daughter's wedding with Paris, a marriage that had already been discussed before Juliet met Romeo. The wedding is set for two days later. The priest looks for a trick to reunite the husbands.
