This book is not only a novel that lays bare the realities of corporate life, but also a spiritual story of Mizuki-who continues to struggle within the organization-learning from Buddhism and philosophy until he comes to realize that “life is training.”
Through comparisons of Japanese and Greek mythology, and through debates with friends, universal themes emerge: human dignity, the qualities of leadership, and the reconstruction of corporate ethics.

Though buffeted by the organization, Mizuki, known as “the man with an aura,” earns the respect of those around him. His story will surely give courage to anyone enduring injustice in today’s workplace.

［Author’s Biography］
Takatsu Bō
Takatsu Bō (born 1943) graduated from the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Engineering. After joining a major chemical company, he worked in the petrochemical division, among others, before becoming a director at a chemical products trading company. Later, he founded Takahimara Universe Co., Ltd., dedicating himself to the mission of contributing to the development of a circular society, such as through toner cartridge recycling.
He is actively engaged in exploring and researching ways of corporate management to bridge the new century.
