Parents blaming writers- Writers blaming producers- producers blaming media execs- executive blaming advertisers & everyone blaming the public for watching. Consider that television is, first of all, a vehicle of "free speech." which is one of our most cherished rights. Secondly, it's a business, and exists to show a profit. It has neither morals nor conscience- nor has, in itself- any subversive or sinister motive. What's more, it can't exist without you. Your job is to make value judgements and lay down the rules.
