あらすじ
Broken Toys: China's Song is an allegorical tale about a group of broken toys looking for the one who made them, hoping he can make them whole. Only then can the toys continue their struggle against the night terrors who want to destroy the boy who loves them. Broken Toys: China's Song is a fantasy with strong Christian symbolism which readers ten and older would enjoy. The editors at The Writer's Edge judged Broken Toys: China's Song a "superior manuscript" saying: "The seven toys (one of them a singer of fine poetry) face many adventures, danger, battles, separation, and even death. With surrealistic shifts in perspective between toys, humans and dreams, the story holds layers of meaning--many pointing to the toymaker--a gentle, loving, powerful mender of toys, whose own son has died." The characters in Broken Toys: China's Song are flawed, but likable and do not preach to the reader. Broken Toys: China's Song brings out this message in a subtle, meaningful way: God is in the business of fixing broken hearts. God remakes us in the image of His Son to prepare us for a destiny we could never have imagined.
