A reviewer in Culture and Progress at Home wrote that, 'Charming as Little Women is, Little Men is in many ways better. Artistically, it is done with a more even hand; morally, it has a distincter and surer aim.' Louisa May Alcott's Little Men: Life at Plumfield with Jo's Boys (1871) is the third book of the Little Women trilogy. It was inspired by her brother-in-law's death.
