It begins with two murders right under the nose of an International Private Detective Conference. A poisoning on board a trans-Atlantic flight soon follows. A horrific hotel bombing in London tops it off. At first these all appear to be isolated occurrences, but the detectives who meet up at the conference discover that not only are the mysterious killings linked, they are just the beginning for what seems to be the work of a new breed of criminal: terrorists. Joining forces, the detectives follow a trail to disentangle the murders that takes them from New York to Europe, the Far East, and the Caribbean. As the investigation continues, the bodies keep mounting.
