When two European scientists, Manuel and Fiona are sent to a secret moonbase to study chemical reactions in space, they find out something terrible is being planned. In order to stop a multi-government-funded illegal drug from spreading throughout the third world countries which would create infertility, they are forced to leak confidential information. When the government finds out they disclosed the information, they have to flee the moonbase to an old decommissioned site to find safety. They stumble upon a generator and food supplies and hatch a plan to rebuild an old spaceship to return to earth. Knowing they will be spotted once they return, they both change their looks. They hope the spaceship will be small enough to enter the atmosphere without being detected by radar or satellites. Just as they get the spaceship ready to launch the news proclaims them dead due to an equipment malfunction. Now they need new identities in order to be able to travel home once they get back to earth if they can keep the ship together with minimal technology and repair resources. They plan to land near a small Greek Island which Manuel's family has property on and live off the land there. If they make it, they will be living together in a scarcely populated island almost closed to the outside world and technology. They know their lives as scientists are behind them and wonder if they live if they will be able to find a new sense of happiness. Secretly, they both hope to end up with each other but the perilous ride to earth will determine if it is their destiny.
