""Well-Being."" Well-Being is a term that has gained attention in recent years and is mentioned in the preamble of the World Health Organization (WHO) constitution.
According to the WHO's definition, health refers not only to the absence of illness or discomfort but to a state where physical, mental, and social health are fully present. Well-Being encompasses not only feelings of happiness and satisfaction but also includes elements such as health, social connections, and the purpose and meaning of life. It is an essential concept that refers to the elements and conditions necessary for individuals to enhance their own sense of happiness and lead fulfilling lives.
In this book, based on my 90 years of life experience and learning, I classified methods for living in Well-Being into ten chapters and presented useful ideas and actions for various challenges in life.
In the pursuit of Well-Being, it is important for one's own values to harmonize with relationships with others and societal demands. Friction or conflict may arise from differences in values, but it is important to respect each other's values and maintain a tolerant attitude. In communication and relationship-building with others, it is also important to find common values or elements of empathy.
