The research for this novel started in 1986 for a term paper for the Air Force Air War College. It was rejected because we would never send troops and tanks to the Middle East as we have nothing to fear from a third world country. After graduation, I took the research and wrote this novel. I updated it in 2012 after Arab Spring as a renewed warning to the world. My vision of World War III starts in silence as a 3rd World country explodes some nuke warheads 300 miles in space which destroys our electronics plunging us into dark and internal strife. While we are trying to recover a major attack to Europe comes from the Middle East while China attacks eastern Russia throwing the world into WAR.
