アメリカ・メイン州の片田舎に住む推理小説家ジェシカ・フレッチャーが、次々と難事件を解決していく推理ドラマ。ウイットに富んだ鋭いなぞ解きで真犯人をあぶり出す彼女の捜査は、頭の固い刑事たちをしのぐ痛快さもあり人気を得た。主演はアンジェラ・ランズベリー、その声を俳優の森光子が演じた。1988年度に総合で56話を放送後、1998年度まで繰り返し再放送された。

I'm starting to see why my mum liked this show... It's on every Saturday all day on 5 USA, first of, and secondly, it is rather entertaining. This delightful lady, who writes murder mysteries, always walks into a real life murder and not so surprisingly she helps out to solve it. It is entertaining, and the storylines are very well written.
