Mickey Haller is recruited to change sides and prosecute the retrial of a brutal child murder. After 24 years in prison, Jason Jessup has been exonerated by new DNA evidence. Haller is convinced Jessup is guilty. He and his investigator, Detective Harry Bosch, must nail a sadistic killer once and for all. Bosch is sure Jessup plans to kill again.
