While this is Chris Kirkpatrick's first children's book, his poetry has been published in such distinguished journals as Barbaric Yawp, Small Brushes, Time of Singing, Chaff, Clever Copywriting and Nourishment Notes. His other books include Learning To See From the Blind, Mixed Metaphors, and I Don't Know What To Tell You. He has received a BA in Social Science from Chapman University and is currently an academic recovery teacher working with at risk youth. He resides in San Bernardino, CA with his wife Jill and his two daughters, Vicky and Amber.
