From the horror of Holocaust, was built a resolve that Jews would establish a Homeland in Palestine. Originally held by Ottoman and promised to them by the Balfour Declaration, the Jews fought with blood, terror and diplomacy to rid Palestine of the hated British Mandate. Blood Orange Blossom, fourth book in the Tree of Faith series, traces the destiny of five characters, each playing a role in Israel's creation. In biblical dimension, they epitomize different struggles of the Jewish people in this monumental event. The story leaves in doubt whether its youthful principles could have sustained without the tough and sometimes ruthless choices made. It also throws light on modern Israel, as the characters contemplate the changed landscape and in particular a destruction of nature through its increasingly commercial side. Paul Richard Sully opens up the secretive history of Israel and challenges the way forward.
