Holly's Animals is an interesting and sincere picture book about a girl who meets animals around our world. The story follows Holly, a 7 year old girl, as she meets different animals around the world, from giant animals such as a tiger and polar bear, to a small butterfly, and discovers the different ways we have an impact on them and their habitat. She wonders what she can do to help... Aimed at 4 to 7 year olds, the book is beautifully illustrated, and the drawings of different animals in their natural habitat will capture a child's imagination, from the lush greenery in the forests to the snow and ice in the arctic. This book covers the topic of our environmental impact in a way that young children can understand and enjoy. It encourages discussion between a child and a parent or teacher about the ways in which we are affecting our environment.
