Just about every community throughout the United Kingdom and its former Empire created memorials totheir members who made the supreme sacrifice in war. This is particularly true of that titanic struggle whichtook place between 1914 and 1918 and soon became known as the Great War.Members of the In and Out have, of course, served in almost every campaign since the Naval and MilitaryClub's foundation in 1862. Those who gave their lives are commemorated in striking memorial boards whichline the Club's main corridor.
