British Prisoner of War, John Mulligan is befriended by a decorated war hero who is also a highly qualified medical doctor. This is in Auschwitz, the largest of the German concentration camps! The two men, although enemies on paper, share the same interests and socialise together until the true character of 'The Angel of Death' reveals itself to Mulligan. The ruthless treatment of the Jews by Josef Mengele and his cohorts encapsulates one side of The Third Reich, but mercifully this is balanced by another side, that in search of the demise of Hitler by any means possible. Mulligan wages his own private war in a quest for truth and justice. This takes him to the highest echelons of The Third Reich and to city streets in South America and Europe.
