In the year 2027, an eight-year-old boy named David Dawson drowned in a frozen lake. His body was never found, yet he continued living his life as if nothing had changed—going home, playing with friends, attending school. But what David didn’t realize was that he was no longer in the real world. Unbeknownst to him, he was trapped in a Digital Graveyard—a simulation of his former life, constructed from echoes of his consciousness. Everything in Hansworth, from his home to his school, was exactly the same, repeating in an endless cycle. David, still eight years old, never noticed the passage of time—until a mysterious stranger appeared. One day, Tot Ed, an unsettling yet familiar man, approaches David with a chilling revelation: “This is not a town, young man. It’s a graveyard.” As David struggles to understand, Ed shows him an old newspaper clipping with his own face on it—a missing child, declared dead fifteen years ago. Slowly, David realizes the truth: He hasn’t aged. He has been reliving the same moments over and over. His “life” is nothing more than an illusion. Ed tells him that to escape, he must return to the lake—the place where it all began. There, David will find the truth about his fate and the key to what lies beyond the graveyard. Torn between comforting familiarity and the unknown, David takes a leap of faith. Walking into the frozen lake, he discovers his own body, perfectly preserved beneath the ice. At that moment, reality shifts—he wakes up in his true home, but everything is different. His parents are older, his sister Danaia is in college, and no one can see him. As the realization sinks in, Ed reappears one last time and gently tells him: “It’s time to go home. This world is not real. You don’t belong here.” Now, David must decide—does he cling to a past that no longer exists, or does he accept the next phase of his journey and step into what comes next?
