Between God and Me (Volume 1)

In Between God & Me, Joy Danyelle shares selections from her intimate conversations with God, as He pulled her out of deep occult bondage. Like many persons, Joy was not aware of the spiritual roots to the trauma she experienced during childhood. She was unable to explain the unanticipated trajectory of her life, a downward spiral despite much promise. Joy was very well educated, with a burgeoning career but, nevertheless, empty, depressed and experiencing torment. Education could not answer the deep struggles In her soul. God did. Between God & Me details her re-education. Joy is convinced that true scholarship begins with humility before God and that true freedom comes when God provides the revelatory knowledge that is necessary to loose chains at each stage of the journey out. Deliverance from multiple layers of generational bondage is rarely automatic. It requires a progressive peeling off and reconstructing into the image of God that He originally intended. There are some verses in Exodus 23 that explain God's gradual approach: Exodus 23: 29I will not drive them out before you in a single year, so that the land does not become desolate [due to lack of attention] and the [wild] animals of the field do not become too numerous for you. 30 I will drive them out before you little by little, until you have increased and are strong enough to take possession of the land. 31 I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines (the Mediterranean), and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will hand over the residents of the land to you, and you shall drive them out before you. These verses are not merely concerned with God's methodology for taking possession of the physical land He gives as an inheritance; it also describes how He gradually delivers a soul, ensuring that in the process that person is strengthened to wage an effective warfare for himself/herself as well as for the bloodline. The volume contends with some painful issues, the sorts that the enemy uses to impale our souls and destroy families. God does not promise a life without these deep tussles; they are the outcome of the fallen state of man. However, He does promise to journey with us and, when we allow Him to lead us through these phases of life, He leads our hearts to hope and heal. Moreover, He redeems, restores and builds us with the grace to help others who are experiencing the darkness that we once knew. Joy has dedicated this very raw collection of poems to God, who alone should be glorified for miraculously rescuing and sustaining a life that, without her knowledge, had been pledged to death. Endorsement: "In every season of our lives, hearing the heart of our Heavenly Father is paramount. This is what I've experienced in every piece that I have read. They have given me insights that reveals the Father heart to me - exactly what I needed in that season. These are not just words on a page but the Father's answers to questions that will transform our lives into a tapestry of God's Glory." - Davine Butler, author of Love Like it Never Happened
