The thought of writing this book has been on my mind for quite some time . I was restraining that idea because I wanted to respect Amma's privacy but the fragrance of a divine flower eventually spreads like a wild fire. Today, her videos are all over social media . She is unfathomable but through this book, I will make a humble attempt to introduce you to her as per my perspective . Words fall short to describe her . Some call her a yogini, some say she is an Avadhoot (an enlightened being who has disregarded all superfluous societal norms )while many have mentioned her being the living incarnation of the divine mother . Some ignorant skeptics assume and testify that she is mentally retarded and needs medical help. Well, that is what mother wants all the skeptics and half baked spiritual seekers to believe so that she can remain anonymous and hidden . I have watched her sane self and her extremely loving side quite up close and I myself am a postgraduate doctor so I really know what I am talking about . She reveals her true unguarded state to only those intimate devotees who are not guru shopping and have unflinching devotion and surrender towards her . Through the course of this book, I will be sharing my first hand experiences with Amma and events that transpired around her which some other devotees have shared with me . In this book I will also be referencing Avadhoota Gita in an attempt to explore the inexplicable transcendental state in which Thopi Amma forever abides. I hope that this book kindles and reignites the spiritual fire in all the earnest seekers and they connect with Amma either having her Darshan in person or by praying to her at the subtle level .
