On 18 August 2023, neonatal nurse Lucy Letby was convicted of the murders of seven babies, and the attempted murder of a further six babies in the neonatal unit of the Countess of Chester NHS Trust hospital, where she was employed as a neonatal nurse. This is the second of two works. The first examines the events at the hospital involving Lucy Letby and covers the period from June 2015 until June 2016. This involves an analysis of the initial suspicions regarding the sudden deaths and collapses of babies, internal reviews and the police investigation, culminating in Letby's trial at Manchester Crown Court in October, 2022. This volume covers the situation to date and brings up new points of contention. The events covered are horrific, and the implications life-changing. But was Lucy the person responsible?
