Dr. Arjun Y. Pangannavar’s book “Bharatada Aarthika Chintakaru: Valmiki, Chanakya, Gandhi, Ambedkar, Nehru, Amartya Sen” is a research work, in Kannada, on the economic ideologies of the great Indian thinkers—Valmiki, Gandhi, Ambedkar Nehru Amartya Sen; it focuses on the thoughts of these great thinkers regarding definition and Scope of economics, economic development models, policies and economic justice legacy and their comparative studies. The book has eight chapters, first chapter focused on the biography and economics of Valmiki and his economic ideologies; second chapter focused on the biography and economics of Chanakya and his economic ideologies; third chapter focused on the biography and economics of Gandhiji and his economic ideologies; fourth chapter focused on the biography and economics of Ambedkar and his economic ideologies; fifth chapter focused on the biography and economics of Nehru and his economic ideologies; sixth chapter focused on the biography and economics of Amartya Sen and his economic ideologies ; seventh chapter focused on the selected economic ideologies, theories and concepts propounded by these eminent Indian economists, as their contribution, and eight chapter has focused on the comparative analysis on these economic ideologies that being presented by these great thinkers, in India and world context, Under the present circumstance such studies are necessary to transmit the true knowledge to stop the hate speeches, unparliamentary remarks and generating of literature that harms communal harmony and national integration. It could also be a good reference book to researchers who is doing research on Indian Great Economic Thinkers.
