Prague is a city of shadows, symbols, and stories etched in stone. This magical atmosphere captivated even a world-famous writer, but a standard guidebook won't easily convey it to you. To experience it fully requires more than just a map in hand – or navigation on your phone. My Journey in the Footsteps of a Novel Personally, when I visit monuments, I look for more than just a brief description. I search for the key to understanding what I am seeing. I want information that resonates, something I can grasp, giving a statue, painting, or cathedral a whole new dimension. For a long time, I faced the same problem. Guidebooks were either too brief, missing the context, or so exhausting that I got lost in the text. Let’s be honest – when you walk across Charles Bridge, the most beautiful open-air sculpture gallery, you want to marvel and look around, not decipher long paragraphs with your head bowed. I decided to change that. In our studio, we created a guide from the Mateo Guides edition that combines the mysterious atmosphere of the story with honest history. What awaits you on this journey? We will bring you closer to the places that played a key role in the novel and add other locations that complete the magical atmosphere. We will introduce you to the stories of the most beautiful sculptures on Charles Bridge. We will show you unique and also hidden places at Prague Castle. We will give you tips on gems without tourist crowds – for example, the Baroque libraries of the Strahov Monastery, fully comparable to the famous Klementinum. All this is complemented by stories of saints, artists, and rulers. Awaiting you are over 270 exclusive photos revealing hidden or normally inaccessible places. 🎧 And the best part? You can just listen. To let you fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere, we have narrated the texts for you. Instead of reading from a screen, you can simply listen to our storyteller and fully absorb the beauty and secrets around you. We designed everything to make using the guide on your phone as comfortable as possible. I believe that with our guide, your visit to Prague will become a truly living story.
