あらすじ
本書は、認知言語学的アプローチにより、付加疑問文の本質に迫ろうとするものである。先行研究では、用法の列挙と規則の提示に留まっており、用法間の関係や構造の変化を伴う事例に説明を与えていない。本書では、実際の使用例を認知文法の「現行談話スペース(Current Discourse Space)」と「Anchoring Structure」の概念に基づいて分析し、なぜ多様な意味機能と形式を持つのか、何が構造に変化を生じさせるのかを付加疑問文の持つ間主観性から明らかにしていく。
