The author's uncle, Mano Hideo, graduated from the Tokyo Imperial University in 1929 and moved to Manchukuo, where he worked as the secretary of the Tonghua Prefecture. However, after the demotion of his patron, Major General Ishiwara Kanji, he became a clerk at the Ministry of Finance in Japan. This book (Vol. 2) includes my uncle's notes from after December 1940 and discusses Japan's national situation at the end of the Pacific War, describing the relationship between various incidents and the behavior of those involved with the war. It also mentions the long time it took to reach a true end of the war compared to the outbreak of the Pacific War. Even in the 21st century, wars are still occurring around the world. The author feels there should be much to learn from history when comparing the invasion of Poland by Hitler, the invasion of Ukraine by Putin, the founding of Manchukuo, and the founding of Israel.
