In the year 122, the Roman Emperor Hadrian arrived in England. Concerned about security, he ordered the construction of 'a wall to separate the Romans from the Barbarians'. As well as looking at the wall itself, Michael studies the evolution of armour, equipment and beliefs amongst the Romans.
