"The Open Diary on Remarkable Days" is about my life. The most important idea of writing this book is to utter an inner feeling of losing own house twice in a lifetime. My father lost his own land, his house, his property during the partition of Bengal. The British, the cunning people of the world ruled with an intention to grab the property of all the countries of the world and deposit it in their country to show the richness of their place. They ruled India for two hundred years and in the end, through its cunning tactics make two countries---India and Pakistan. Innocent people who were not involved in politics lost everything in this process of selfishness. The second house, my father made in independent India. We lived in that house for several years. We lost our house during gruesome violence in October 1979 in independent India. The movement was to target, the non-tribal calling them Foreigners. We were the first people targeted by the Khasi (Tribal of North East India) students union. After my marriage, when my parents and siblings returned to Shillong, they found that all the window glasses, panes were broken and every day some disturbances were going on every now and then. One night, they attacked our house and tried to burn our house. In the process, we lost our property. There are many incidents in one's life. Everyone is unique in its nature. So everyone's life is different from others.I think readers will get some information about the past and learn through the experience of the people. I Hope, some readers can connect themselves with some situations written in this book.
