When Michael Boston retires from Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier, Louisiana, he expects support in his new career as a Realtor. He has a plan to take care of his familys financial needs. However, the unexpected happens. A fortune teller warns Michael about his future and tells him to leave the state. His wife, Marie, becomes addicted to gambling and changes personality. This leads to infidelity. Michael questions his sanity. Although he is shocked about the negative events in his life, he believes in his wedding vows and sticks by his wifes side. After traumatic events, Michael considers suicide.
