A twisted Drama from 1895 through the mid 1920's. Identical twin girls, Lydia and Lyzbeth Connors are born into luxury and privilege to a Lumber Tycoon and his wife. Lydia shows tendencies of evil. At the age of six Lydia intentionally hurts Lizbeth causing her death. Lydia reaches the age of twelve and meets Margaret Sorenson, also twelve, who becomes her companion. Margaret is drawn into the deceptions Lydia creates, leading to more ruthless lies and deceit. Lydia inherits her large trust fund and marries Arthur Finnigan. Lydia gives birth to a stillborn son. Arthur blames her. His behavior results in losing everything, His hatred leads to an altercation with Earl, their Caretaker. Arthur is killed and buried. The Caretaker takes his own life from the remorse he feels. Theodore Monroe is the Solicitor for many wealthy families. Margaret wants Theodore and uses a brilliant plan to cause Lydia's death. Prior, Lydia has left much of her inheritance to Margaret, not knowing she would not live long. Margaret takes over as head of the Estate, feeling she is safe and wealthy. No one could know that something will happen which will result in a great disaster and misfortune for many.
