Excerpt from Memorials of the English Martyrs Tm: Author begs to offer an apology to his readers for some trifling repetitions, which may be found in the follow ing pages. They are owing to the circumstances under which the book was written. He was not aware of them till it was too late to remedy the oversight. He begs also to repeat, what he has said elsewhere in the volume, that he should be truly grateful to any of his readers, who would kindly furnish him with any additional information about the godly martyrs and confessors of the faith in the days to which he refers. He is particularly desirous to obtain facts, which would enable him to give a biographical account of those ladies who were the ministering women of the Reformation in England.
