Kilimanjaro, a geographic wonder unconquered until the 19th century, was to prove an extraordinary challenge for one man. In prose and poetry, this text traces the journey of the author who joined a party of Saltmine trekkers in 2001. This group, all with different reasons for feeling it was time to do something out of the ordinary, entered into a life-changing experience.
