Lone Woman on the Boat is a collection of stories written after the author scattered her husband's ashes into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean and then set out on a journey of her own to find tranquility and peace. Returning to Hatteras Island, North Carolina, she walked the beach and listened to the whispers of the waves. After making the decision to take several sport-fishing trips on charter boats, the author often found herself the only woman on the boat. The journey to find inner peace took many fishing trips and miles and miles of walking on the beach.
