When Artie and Luci go to visit their Grandmother for the weekend they don't expect that they will meet Lettie Zanibar, a new friend who is from a world alien to their own. Set in a small city in Central Minnesota, Hidden Lifeforms is a middle school novel of imagination of what is real, could be real, and what is seen and often missed in everyday life. They find out that Lettie's family is not your normal everyday family but instead have come from another world. They discover that Lettie's Grandfather, who has amazingly magical abilities and can do some pretty impossible things, is needful of special medical healing but those who would normally provide that care have all vanished.So these two, together with their Grandmother, find themselves thrown into the situaiton and are going to help. Their belief in what is possible will undergo amazing growth and change and their lives will become fuller and richer and will never be the same.
