An album of sketches and paintings on the universe of the concentration camp by David Olère, a French Jew born in Warsaw, who was arrested in 1943, interned at Drancy, and deported to Auschwitz where he was placed in the Sonderkommando. Many of the drawings were done just after the war, between 1945-47. The introduction by Klarsfeld states that the documentary value of these works is exceptional since there are no photographs of what occurred in the gas chambers and crematoria.
