In the shadows of New York City, magic breathes in hidden corners and power is a currency more dangerous than gold. Aiden, a young college student haunted by the loss of his mother, stumbles into a secret world where every choice tilts the balance between wonder and ruin. But here, the only monsters are people—those who have traded their humanity for influence, and whose reach extends far beyond the streets they walk. Drawn into a dangerous game of secrets and survival, Aiden must navigate shifting alliances, unravel arcane mysteries, and confront the truth about his own past. Every step forward pulls him deeper into a web where ambition corrodes the soul, and every kindness hides a blade. With a cast of unforgettable allies and enemies, and a city that hums with unseen forces, his journey will demand more than courage—it will demand a piece of himself. Futurum is a dark, thrilling debut that blends urban fantasy, slow-burn horror, and taut suspense into a tale where the extraordinary hides in plain sight, and the deadliest magic is the kind wielded by those who believe they can never fall. Writing Antologia Aeternum began in the spring of 2022, but its foundation was seeded long before—an idea quietly germinating over more than a decade. I’ve long believed that every great work of fiction rests upon the scaffolding of a compelling creation myth—one that not only explains a world’s origins, but also mirrors the questions, values, and contradictions of its creator. I set out to construct such a myth: one steeped in the fantastical, the esoteric, and the paranormal, yet anchored in the subtle ache of lived experience. In doing so, it became a meditation on belief itself—a way to interrogate what we accept as real, and what we dare to imagine as possible. At its core, Antologia Aeternum is not merely a story of heroes and villains. The true antagonist isn’t any single character, but a deeper, more insidious force: the unrelenting grip of capitalist dogma, and the quiet complicity that sustains it. In shaping this world, I sought to expose how systems of power masquerade as inevitabilities—how they entrench themselves in our daily lives, our choices, and our stories. This narrative asks not only who holds power, but at what cost—and more importantly, who pays that cost in the relentless pursuit and preservation of that power.
