I left the only home I ever knew when I boarded a boat bound for adventure with two strange traders and their mysterious cargo. Eventually that boat and the crew became my new home. I thought they had come to care for me too, but it seems I'm an orphan once more. I'm being dumped, just like their cargo, in yet another new place. I must walk down a dark tunnel into a gleaming island castle, with towering cliff walls and a vast network of guards and servants, without a clue as to my fate. I am the keeper of The Stone, but I feel more like a freakish attraction than a person. I don't want to be rid of The Voice that speaks through it, for he is my only true comfort, but I desperately want to be rid of The Stone itself. Though if that happens, my worth even as an attraction will cease. What kind of future can I possibly have in this place? And is it truly a sanctuary, as they claim, or a prison?
