The World Wide Web (WWW) is a system of interconnected web pages and resources, accessible through the internet. It allows users to access and share information using web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. The web was invented by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 and is based on technologies like HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), URLs (Uniform Resource Locators), and HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol). Key Components of the Web: Web Pages & Websites - Documents written in HTML, often containing text, images, and links. Hyperlinks - Clickable elements that connect different web pages. Web Browsers - Programs that allow users to view web pages (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Safari). Servers & Clients - Servers store websites, and clients (users) access them through browsers. Search Engines - Tools like Google and Bing that help users find web content. The WWW is not the same as the Internet-the internet is the broader network that connects computers globally, while the web is just one of the services running on the internet.
