Hritik Roshan Mishra's "Ganga of Ashes" is his English translated edition of his original Hindi Novel of "Raakh Ki ganga" In this deeply introspective and emotional narrative, the author reflects on the complex journey of love, fate, and the choices made by their characters. The story centers around Safiya, Shyam, and Ganga, whose fates intertwine in unexpected and often heartbreaking ways. As the author questions whether the events that unfolded were just, or even possible in real love, they are left with a sense of ambivalence-caught between the pull of what should have been and the acceptance of what was. The author contemplates whether love truly changes a person's character or if the story was merely a product of imagination. While grappling with the injustice faced by Safiya and the impact on Shyam & Ganga, the writer is unsure whether these events were necessary or if a more beautiful ending could have been crafted. Despite these uncertainties, there is an undeniable sense that the story's conclusion, no matter how imperfect, was meant to be. This narrative is as much about the author's reflection on their creation as it is about the characters' lives. It explores the pain of unfinished stories, the weight of unresolved emotions, and the quiet acceptance that sometimes the story we tell is the story we must live with. A poignant and thought-provoking exploration of love, choice, and destiny, this book invites readers to question the nature of love and the stories we create for ourselves and others. poem, poetry and other writings & characters and their side stories will keep readers engaged and make you feel sad and happy at the same time. From the pen of the author.... I ended the story in a very strange way. Perhaps story could have been finished with a more beautiful, happier ending. Perhaps the ending of the story of Shyam and Ganga could have been fare with ease & happiness. But I never felt like changing the story again. Sometimes I feel as if this is a historical event that I am writing about or perhaps I have lived this historical event in my lifetime. Thanks & Regards, Hritik R. Mishra
