Sara will not be like her parents - especially the greedy, superficial man who calls himself her father. She plans to work hard, focusing on nursing school to provide a living for herself so she doesn't have to rely on some man. Then she meets Thomas, Joe Hogar's brother-in-law. Thomas introduces Sara to a family and lifestyle that could't be more different from her own. The Kincaids work together. They play together. They raise their own food. They love each other. The lean on God's plans and not their own. Thomas and his family reveal a life far beyond Sara's wildest dreams, yet she struggles to believe that she'll ever belong or that God could have a plan for her, too.
