Taylor Christian, laid off from her job with Walterville PD, returns to Ketchum's Mill where she joins Detective Neil Holland to investigate a series of homicides and deaths. Their case load includes a slain prostitute; the apparent suicide of a local property developer; the gangland-style assassination of a former district attorney and his wife; the murder of one of the town's leading citizens; and a missing woman, whose three-year old daughter, found abandoned on the side of a country road, claims mommy went away with a policeman. No one believes they're connected. Taylor and Neil aren't so sure.
