Their old friend Art Atwood turns up from their past and proceeds to have a breakdown while their own relationship goes into free fall. The results are hilarious, trippy, scary and edgy. Johnson writes with his tongue in his cheek and a sharp, satirical eye. The Dope Runners is a comedy with a twist of lemon.
