As Zoey, Jacob, and everyone around them tries to settle into their new normal, an unusually cold October invades the resort town of Starvale. But something more than a wintery chill threatens the visitors that the town depends on for its lifeblood. Something lurks inside Crystal Maiden National Forest and comes out as soon as the sun goes down. Tourists keep disappearing. Then Starvale's own begin to vanish into the woods as well.
