Philipe was a pig who dreamed. He dreamed big dreams and small dreams. His small dreams usually had his special friend Marie Claire in them. Some of the other pigs even called him 'The Dreamer". But his biggest dream was to become a flying truffle pig. A few of the less kind pigs referred to him as 'The Clumsy Foggy Pig' because often Phillipe didn't seem to be paying attention to whatever was happening around him. He bumped into the fence many times a day. When the pigs played kick the stick, Phillipe never seemed to know exactly when the stick was heading his way. Most of the time, he missed his chance to give it a good kick. He stumbled around the farmyard a lot. Usually, he just picked himself up, laughed and said "There I go again." So how could he possibly ever get his big dream? Philipe's fanciful story is another beautiful addition to the beautiful children's stories author Joan Harris has gifted to children over the years. A must read entertaining book.
