Bokul, a young boy in Bangladesh, works at a tea shop to support himself and his elderly grandmother. It's hard for them to make ends meet, so when Bokul learns that people in the nearby refugee camps are given food and medicine, he feels resentful about it. One day, while taking pictures by the seashore with a borrowed camera, he meets some boys from the camp who save a turtle in distress. Their act of kindness, along with a conversation with his grandmother about her past, helps Bokul to overcome his negative thoughts and embrace a more compassionate outlook. This story is part of The Asia Foundation's Gom Acho Collection.
