Trailmaster Ben Murdock already had enough on his hands when the sky busted open causing five thousand head of beef cattle to stampede in a storm. But that was nothing compared to the trouble that lay ahead for this outfit riding across Texas with a herd to deliver – an outfit whose loyalties were split like lightning between the trailmaster and his arrogant self-styled rival, Tate Coreman. What happens when this bunch of hard-riding cowboys descends on Eden Grove puts the little town on the Texas map in ways its people had never imagined. And Ben Murdock finds himself facing a challenge he can’t refuse, and a threat he can’t escape. D. B.
