Published in 1920, Eleanor H. Porters Mary Marie is about a young girl facing her parents divorce with dread. One parent calls her Mary, the other Marie. Living with two different personalities so as to accommodate the wishes of both her parents, she makes the best of her time and eventually succeeds in bringing her parents together.
