The Table of Contents has been made clearer, and is followed by a list of the names of all the Roses in the Catalogue arranged on an entirely new plan, so that any variety, the exact name of which may not be known to any one consulting it, may be more easily and quickly found. For the same reason, in the List of Roses arranged according to their Classes, these classes have been placed in alphabetical order. But the most im portant change has been in consulting over fifty well known Rosarians outside the Committee and residing in different parts of the country as to the improvement of the Catalogue. The suggestions of these advisers have been carefully considered, and in many cases alterations have been made in accordance with them.
