Paul Antony Young, born on 17th January 1956, Luton, England, UK, is a singer, songwriter and musician. Formerly the frontman of the short-lived groups Kat Kool and the Kool Cats, Streetband and Q-Tips, he became an '80s teen idol as a solo artist. Paul rose to fame with hit singles including "Love of the Common People," "Wherever I Lay My Hat," "Come Back and Stay," "Every Time You Go Away" and "Everything Must Change," which all entered the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart. Issued during 1983, his debut album No Parlez, his first of 3 UK chart-topping LPs, made him a household name, Young's smooth, soulful voice being part of the "blue-eyed soul" genre. He was named Best British Male at the Brit Awards during 1985.
