あらすじ
本書は、2016年にセブ市の英語学校に12週間短期語学留学した際に出会ったセブアーノとの交流と、街歩きの体験などを記録したものです。
セブ市で通りを歩くと、かず多くの屋台を見かけます。特に、フェンテ・オスメニア・サークル近くの大きな病院の職員出入り口を起点に、病院を背にして大通りに沿って150m程、屋台が立ち並ぶ活気溢れるエリアは格別です。夕暮れ時から屋台に多くの人々が集い食事をとっています。
もちろん大通から一歩路地に踏み込んでも、あちらこちらで屋台を見かけます。セブ州庁舎の西側にある屋台がたぶんセブで一番の店です。その店の店員さんたちは、みな親切で、気さくで、陽気です。ぜひ、この屋台に出かけて食べてみることをおすすめします。ぜひこの店を探してみてください。
This book documents my interactions with Cebuanos I met during 12 week short term language study abroad program at an English language school in Cebu City in 2016, as well as my experiences walking around the city.
In Cebu City, you can see many eateries while walking down the street. In particular, the area that starts from the staff services entrance of a large hospital near Fuente Osmeña Circle and stretches 150 meters along the main street with the hospital behind it is a lively area with eateries. People gather at the eateries to eat at sunset.
Of course, even if you step off the main street into an alley, you'll see some eateries everywhere. There is the vest eatery that's located on the west side of the Cebu Provincial Capitol, maybe. Please look for this eatery if you wont to go there.
