A book of golf theory and techniques presented by an honorary professor of the Tokyo Institute of Technology and a teaching professional.
From the idea that understanding the fundamentals based on science will lead to a good swing, swings of both professional and amateur golfers are observed in detail through a high-speed video camera and all of golf are analyzed and discussed in detail from the viewpoints of science such as physics, physiology, psychology, etc. Effectiveness of the results of these studies are confirmed through practices in driving range and actual play in golf course.
Fundamentals of address and swing are proposed, which both professional and amateur golfers must follow regardless of their ages and individual differences. Moreover, the influence of decline of muscular strength and flexibility due to aging is discussed in detail, and fundamentals of club selection, address and swing for elderly senior players are proposed. Although the distance of carry decreases with age, even old senior players will be able to enjoy golf with round score in the 90s since the accuracy and stability of their shots will be kept from declining too much.
