Some myths and legends are the work of wild imaginations and a desire to tell a great story. Those tales often lead to the reader believing the story and spreading the knowledge. As a population, we are fascinated by the unknown, and over the centuries people have developed these explanations, stories and yarns for events they cannot explain. There are a few legends out there that are born from the truth and real events. The original information often gets manipulated into something grander, though the basis for the narrative is accurate, and that remains the core of the tale. We all have unusual thoughts or dreams, but it takes a lot of effort to turn them into a story. The devil is in the details, and I stand by that idiom. It's the finer details that make a story gripping or can make it unremarkable. The Boy on the Bridge was born from a photograph then expanded in my imagination. I hope you, as the reader, enjoy it.
